Founder of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, who introduced the Transcendental Meditation program to the world 50 years ago for systematically developing higher states of consciousness.

Originally named Mahesh Prasad Varma, he received his Master’s Degree in Physics from Allahabad University in 1940. He then became a disciple of Swami Brahmananda Saraswathi, who gave him the name of 'Bal Brahmachari Mahesh'.
Born in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Maharishi's blend of scientific background (Physics) and spiritual inclination created the perfect foundation for a modern educational system that values both inner peace and outer excellence.
